I absolutely love long socks and I almost swooned with delight when I saw these. The are from an Irish company called Avoca (who do beautiful soaps as well!!!) You can buy them from the internet but I found them in a lovely shop in Haworth and as the shop also stocks Cath Kidston, I spent a lovely half hour browsing and touching and day dreaming.
I want all of these, I just need them all sooooo much. Geordie suggested I customise my Primark socks until I win the lottery and do you know what? Thats not a bad idea....... ;-) xx
Ooh yes, I can see the attraction of those socks, very nice. Haworth of Bronte fame? Haven't been up there for ages, love the parsonage museum, will have to visit again soon. Is that postcard really from Morrissey??
ReplyDeleteHi Louise, yes Haworth of Bronte fame. It's not too far away from Manchester so we go quite a lot. You'll definitely have to visit again soon, there's some lovely vintage shops there and they have 1940's weekends too. And yes my postcard is from Morrissey. Me and my friend were mad on The Smiths at school and my friend wrote to Morrissey for his autograph for me for my birthday. He sent her 2 postcards back. On one side is a picture of him, and my friends said 'This is what I look like..' which is why mine says 'This is also what I look like..' It lives on my kitchen wall where I can see it every day!! xx
ReplyDeleteLovely socks! Thanks for sharing. Look forward to seeing your customised Primark ones if you have time to make some :) Maggie xx
